Help the fight against police brutality!

You should definitely do this, but please be safe and knowledgeable about it! Here are some resources for how to safely film/photograph police brutality, as well as information on YOUR rights as you do so:

Please be aware that different states have different laws on the matter.  Check into them so you can know you specific laws, and what to expect if you film the police.  Also check with your state’s chapter of the ACLU; many of them have tips on this matter, and some have pocket foldouts of your rights that you can use to convince the police that no, you aren’t doing anything wrong.

Stay woke.

white people need to die

i feel so sick over this situation

this is beyond fucked up, and i’m not a cop supporter, and i think black people are treated unfairly, especially by police, but when people say all “white people need to die” bc a white person did something terrible is absolutely stupid. how does that make any logical sense?

you are fully aware of what’s going on right now in ferguson and you’re telling me that Black people are treated “unfairly”

you are looking at a picture of a (white) cop macing a (Black) child and you’re concerned about a comment that someone made at the expense of white people

you need to get your priorities straight, for real

police have killed more americans this decade than the iraq war.
if you support the police, you are sympathetic to domestic terrorists.

"Shot in the head last night by police"
tonytonytony70

Keep in mind that the police were vehemently stating that it was not them who shot her and it was a drive by of a group of Black guys. They were probably praying that this girl died so no one would find out the truth. Well guess what? We have another testimony against the Ferguson police in court for blatantly lying like how they are doing now with not telling the truth about Michael Brown.

Y’all I was friends with Mya at HU, she is a peaceful person and would never do anything to deserve a bullet to the head. She’s slowly recovering, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers

A sample of tweets on #Ferguson tonight, 8/13/14

Twitter has been incredibly useful throughout all of this. It seems like the mainstream press is just getting caught up. (And arrested and doused with tear gas at this point).
