SUITgoku Basara: Otakon 2013 cosplay group!
So since this has drummed up way more interest than I was expecting, much more quickly than I was expecting, I figured I’d go ahead and make a masterpost for the business-AU Sengoku Basara cosplay group we are planning for Otakon 2013!
In general, the plan is to put together a cosplay (closet or custom-made) that would be the cosplayer’s interpretation of how their character would look in a modern-day business AU - this means suits, pencil skirts, colored ties/shirts that match the character’s color scheme, clan embroidering, etc - as much or as little as you think suits the character!
Our lineup is currently:
Nohime
Akechi Mitsuhide
Date Masamune
Sanada Yukimura
Maeda Keiji
Katakura Kojuro
Chosokabe Motochika
Sarutobi Sasuke
Yoshimoto Imagawa/Mogami Yoshiaki
Tokugawa Ieyasu
Ishida Mitsunari
If you’re interested in being a part of our group, or want to know more information, please feel free to contact me or Lizzy. We’d really love to have as complete a group as possible, and we’re always interested in meeting new people and making new friends! In the end, this is just an opportunity for a bunch of Basara fans to get together, hang out,
FORGE BONDSmake new friends, and have a great time, and of course look great while doing it! We look forward to hearing from you!
A belated thank you lovers for your kind and generous response (inquiries, purchases and hustling) to the recent book sale! I feel very small. Also so painfully far away I must communicate via keyboard smashing instead of tearful hugs.. And while I think I have managed to answer almost all emails, please do prod me if I still owe you an answer or reply! Third round of terrorizing the post office with an armful of envelopes tomorrow; then I will reduce my terrorizing efforts to mere;y checking on delivery statuses.
In honour of this spirit of great and inexpressible love, and to celebrate the event of aerie finally watching Sengoku Basara, here is a quick Setouchi reenactment of a scene from ‘Love Actually’
For clarification: in the original movie it was not an okra, and the subject of his affections was not a tsundere
